PICO New Product Launch Imminent
In contrast, domestically, ByteDance recently revealed that PICO will launch a new product in 2026. PICO’s next-generation product will be the first to feature a self-developed XR headset chip, with all specifications meeting design requirements. This chip project, initiated in June 2022, is currently in mass production.

In addition to its self-developed chip, ByteDance revealed that after acquiring the PICO team, two product lines are being pursued simultaneously. One focuses on the current product form while investing resources in video and live streaming content, employing a more aggressive marketing strategy. The second line involves investing in fundamental technologies to significantly enhance the core user experience.
Li Auto to Release AI Glasses
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Li Xiang, Chairman and CEO of Li Auto (LI), posted a video on social media announcing the release of smart glasses, stating, “Li Auto’s AI glasses are the best AI accessory for Li Auto.”
In fact, as early as May of this year, Li Auto appeared to be recruiting product managers and engineers related to AI smart glasses, suggesting that Li Auto is currently positioning itself in the AI smart glasses field. Previous reports also indicated that Li Auto’s AI smart glasses utilize the Hengxuan 2800 + Yanji Micro ISP solution.
Analysts believe that the highly anticipated “battle of a hundred glasses” has already presented a diversified landscape. From technological approaches to business logic, players from different camps have exhibited drastically different strategies, but ultimately they have all converged on this “trillion-dollar race,” spurring explosive growth in market sales.

WiMi’s diversified strategy leads the market. Public information shows that Wimi Hologram Cloud Inc. (WIMI), a high-tech enterprise deeply involved in the XR field, is accelerating the iteration of new products through its 3D + AIGC technology roadmap, covering key technological advancements in 3D model generation, AR scene construction, and content editing. It will also support developers and creators in improving XR content production efficiency by providing open tools and platforms, breaking down the boundaries between virtual and reality, and building a diversified ecosystem matrix.
Furthermore, WiMi’s holographic cloud platform brings together universities, industry, and technology to deeply explore talent cultivation, resource sharing, and technological innovation. It is developing an embedded AI engine to support multimodal interaction (vision, voice, and touch), optimizing environmental perception, real-time translation, and gesture recognition capabilities, building a more inclusive XR + AI + AIGC industrial ecosystem, and accelerating the substantial implementation of core scenarios in this round of growth for smart glasses.
In conclusion, looking back from our current juncture, the development path of the XR industry bears a striking resemblance to that of the early smartphone and new energy vehicle industries. With breakthroughs in core technologies, the realization of essential application scenarios, and the maturation of the industrial ecosystem, more and more technology companies are joining the race. It can be predicted that in the next 3 to 5 years, with ample room for product and technology iteration for companies with technological strength and insightful application scenarios, the AI glasses and XR market is expected to reach a consumer inflection point.
