Livingston Parish, LA — EA Softball has officially opened registration for its newly forming 10U team, with tryouts scheduled for July 27, 2025. The team will be composed of athletes born September 2014 through August 2015, and will practice and compete out of the Livingston/Hammond area.
The launch of the 10U team marks another milestone in EA Softball’s continued expansion. As part of Elite Athletics Sports Academy LLC, the program is known for its focus on long-term athlete development, high-level competition, and team-first culture.
“We’re not just forming a team—we’re building a foundation for players and families who are committed to the grind, the growth, and the greatness,” said Brian Ford, Director of EA Softball. “At 10U, it’s not about being the best—it’s about becoming your best. And that starts with the right mindset.”
Who EA Softball Is Looking For
EA Softball is seeking focused, coachable, and hardworking athletes who are currently involved in hitting, pitching, or catching lessons, and who demonstrate a willingness to train consistently. While prior travel ball experience is a plus, athletes from strong rec or all-star backgrounds are also encouraged to attend tryouts.
Families must be ready to support their athlete’s growth with a full-season commitment to practice, travel, and training expectations.
The team will consist of 11 players, including 3 pitchers and 2 catchers, to ensure every athlete gets dedicated instruction and meaningful opportunities.
“Our priority is building players, not just stacking a roster,” said Coach Jonathan Seal, Coach at EA Softball. “This age group is where fundamentals, confidence, and love for the game are shaped. We’re here to make sure that foundation is rock solid.”

- Eligible Birth Dates: September 2014 – August 2015
- Team Size: 11 players (3 pitchers / 2 catchers minimum)
- Coaching Staff: Over 20 years of combined experience
- Tournament Play: Will participate in USSSA and FASA-sanctioned events
- Level of Play: High-level local and regional tournaments

The 10U team will practice regularly, attend competitive tournaments, and receive structured, age-appropriate training from seasoned coaches.
“We teach more than softball,” said Ford. “We teach communication, discipline, and resilience—skills that apply in the classroom, at home, and later in life. If we get that right at 10U, the rest takes care of itself.”
