Troopers stop to help driver on I-80 and find $75K worth of heroin in the car

Troopers who who stopped Sunday to help a driver along Interstate 80 in Warren County ended up finding 309 bricks of heroin inside the car, an official said. The “motorist aid” was given in the Allamuchy Township section of the highway, where troopers said they discovered a fake temporary New Jersey license plate on the car. Troopers then searched the car and discovered the heroin, which has a street value of about $75,500, Warren County Prosecutor Prosecutor James Pfeiffer said in a news release.
