It has been seen repeatedly over the last couple of years how many industries have benefitted from chatbot implementation. The music industry is providing lucrative opportunities for many people because it is a $billion a year industry. There can be benefits for individual musicians, for music companies and for other interested parties within the musical industry. It can be helpful to first determine the primary purpose of the music industry. The question which has to be asked is what problem is solved by the music industry? Naturally, people listen to music for its entertainment value. For many people, music is a form of escape. They listen to music in order to change their mood. They are very popular because of their very large music libraries. They make their music more accessible by categorizing it in an intelligent way. A chatbot was also used by Hardwell which allowed him to collect 250,000 fans by using his Facebook messenger chatbot. Things were made interesting because supporters were able to vote for the track of the week. They were also able to respond to the messages. This provided them with a possible chance to be featured on Hardwell’s fan shout-out of the week. The chatbot was also used to launch a Hardwell-branded picture book. The chatbot was so successful it was able to generate more sales than Twitter, Google and Facebook combined. The group Maroon 5 also made use of a chatbot. This allowed them to release a 10-second clip of the new single “Cold”. This was done on the day before the single was released. This has resulted in responses from a hundred thousand fans to the chatbot. The fans then proceeded to share that clip on many social media platforms. A chatbot has also been used by Katy Perry. This was done in order to promote her latest album which has been named Witness as well as a worldwide tour. This allowed many of the supporters to interact with the artist before the show. They were also provided with the opportunity to win ticket upgrades.

One example is the DJ Lazy set. This can provide users with a playlist recommendation which will be based on an artist which is suggested by the user. Another excellent bot is from Apple music. The chatbot for Apple music is integrated into Facebook messenger. This allows users to look at whether there are any new releases or editor’s picks and other interesting things. Another interesting and popular platform is Spotify. The chatbot which is used by Spotify is a personalized chatbot, in other words, it will call users by name. There is also the Live Nation chatbot in Facebook messenger. This allows users to find different concerts by artist, location or by featured events. The Live Nation chatbot is very similar to Spotify because it is also personalized and therefore will use people’s names. By making use of the Live Nation chatbot it is possible to quickly and easily purchase tickets to some of the concerts which a user would really like to see.
