At least 14 people were killed in a road collision involving a minibus and a truck in southern Egypt on Tuesday, health authorities said. In a statement, the Egyptian authorities said the minibus and pickup truck collided near the remote oasis village of Abu Minqar in the southwestern province of El-Wadi El-Gedid. Mahmoud Abu El-Laly, the province’s head of security, said the 14 bodies were taken to a mortuary in the nearby town of Dakhla and that nine of the victims have been identified.
