The trade policy dispute among the countries of the Mercosur economic alliance has deepened during a summit on Thursday. Argentina’s President Alberto Fernandez slammed Uruguay for going it alone on trade deal talks. “We believe that we should negotiate together with third countries and that we should hold on to the principle of consensus in making decisions in our integration process,” Fernandez said during a video conference with his colleagues from Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.
