Fire crews in Greece brought several bush and forest blazes under control on Sunday with the help of aerial water bombers, helicopters and hundreds of firefighters and volunteers. About 64 fires had broken out across the country over the last 24 hours, the fire brigade said. The Greek Civil Defence issued a fire warning for Sunday for central Greece and the island of Crete. The largest fire raged on the island of Euboea on Saturday.
