Another newer application for apparel stores is the virtual fitting room, where a camera does a 3D scan of the shopper, then allows them to see how the clothes they’ve selected will look on them. This is especially valuable in the wake of COVID-19, where customers will be less likely to try on clothes that numerous other people have tried on first.
