Coordinate Measure Machines (CMM) allow manufacturers to verify the size and shape of a part to make sure it will work properly. The decrease in cost can also make cutting-edge procedures more accessible. Some patients can only wait a limited time for a vital implant before they die. Anything that accelerates the manufacturing process without reducing the implant’s quality increases their odds of survival.
